Daylight begins with a change in test suite

Brian’s hack caused us some amount of scrambling today. He figured out a way to pass information out of the test suite using RETHROW. We’ve added RETHROW to the forbidden list and deleted his entries. We ask that anyone who used this information to take the lead disqualify himself from winning the Twilight phase.

After we finish processing entries that were submitted before noon and announce our Twilight winner, we will swap in a new test suite. It will be similar to the original (and the sample) test suite, but any specific tuning of entries will be lost. It will be interesting to see how changing test suites affects the generality of the submissions.

In the meantime, we’ve entered the Daylight phase, so you’re now able to see everyone’s code. Look for the announcement of another mid-contest challenge soon.
