Sudoku Contest Winner

CT, aka the cyclist, aka Tim Vaughan is the overall winner of the Sudoku contest! His entry, submitted at 4:32PM, improved on the previous best score by 0.17% - no small accomplishment for code that had been squeezed for days. He was also the winner of our last MATLAB contest, so this win secures him a second spot in the Hall of Fame. Yi Cao, grn, Anders Bjorling, and Amr Tawfik also made improvements to the top score in the final hours of the contest.

We will be posting some analysis of the contest action over the next few days. Until then see the Statistics page for some interesting tables and graphs.

We hope you all enjoyed playing or even watching. We’d love to hear what you liked about the contest and what we can do to make it more fun. Please share your feedback on the contest over on the newsgroup or e-mail us directly.

Congratulations to all our winners.
