Army Ants Contest

It’s time for another bonus mid-week post. This time I’m announcing the new MATLAB Contest: Army Ants.

It’s a challenging scenario where you try to improve your colony while fighting off an ant colony controlled by other contest submitters. Our contests are a good time, and viewing the code of other contestants can really expand your MATLAB game.

If you do participate, let us know if any parts of the Desktop really helped with your submission.

    ARgh!! I’ve been waiting for this contest but it looks like I’m late to the game.

  2. Quan Quach replied on :

    When did you guys change your layout? I think I like the old one better :(

  3. Ken replied on :

    Hey Quan,

    We changed the style a couple weeks back in conjunction with an update to the look of MATLAB Central. I like the new look…what about it isn’t working for you?

    Quan,

    You should sign up for contest-announce: “Don’t miss hearing about the next MATLAB Contest. Sign up for our MATLAB Contest mailing list. Send an e-mail to lists@mathworks.com with subscribe contest-announce in the body.”

    That way you won’t miss out next time.

Wrap code fragments inside <pre> tags, like this:

<pre class="code">
a = magic(3);
sum(a)
</pre>

If you have a "<" character in your code, either follow it with a space or replace it with "&lt;" (including the semicolon).
