MATLAB has a lot of good examples in the documentation, but you can never have enough of them. A healthy amount of my job is to produce custom demos for potential customers. When I can, I do these before the meeting, but sometimes they ask you for something unexpected during the meeting. Quick Easy Maps includes two simple examples that Michael made. They are something I will keep in my demos directory so that if someone asks I can show them how you would draw a globe with the Mapping toolbox. The code is concise, so I could walk someone through it line by line easily.
