Doug and I have been getting flack from our Simulink buddies lately that we don't select enough Simulink-related submissions for Pick of the Week. Well, this submission should keep them quiet for a little while ...
Simulink is amazingly powerful and flexible, allowing you to build darn-near anything (or so it seems to me). The hardest part for a lot of people is just getting started on their particular application. That's where very accurate and detailed demos come in handy, which leads me (finally) to this week's pick: Dick Benson's Carrier & Symbol Timing Recovery. This is a great example that shows how to address an important issue in communications system design.
Be sure to check out some of Dick's other demos - he has a ton of really detailed Simulink applications for communications.

Doug first used MATLAB in 1994, could not figure it out until he got some help in 1995. He is now dedicated to making sure that no one else wastes a year of their life not knowing MATLAB like he did.
