Read and Write MP3s

I can't believe it took me this long to find Alfredo Fernandez's MP3WRITE and MP3READ. MATLAB users have been asking me for years if they could read MP3s into MATLAB, and I never had a good answer. Now I do. Alfredo has leveraged Windows capabilities for encoding/decoding MP3 files to provide this capability directly within MATLAB. I really appreciate how he patterned the functions closely after wavread and wavwrite. This makes them really easy to learn. Now all I need is for somebody to add AAC capabilities (all of my music is in iTunes). Small technical note - I couldn't get MP3WRITE to work, but I didn't play around very long.
