MATLAB Basics: Scalar and Vector expansion

Two minute video explains scalar and vector expansion.
This helps in situations where you are adding a scalar to a matrix and shows how to expand a vector for a similar effect.

Wrap code fragments inside <pre> tags, like this:

<pre class="code">
a = magic(3);
sum(a)
</pre>

If you have a "<" character in your code, either follow it with a space or replace it with "&lt;" (including the semicolon).
