Thanks to Steve Lord I just learned that documentation for previous MathWorks releases is now available online. This is something I know many of you have asked about.
Just hop over to the Archived MathWorks Documentation page to find doc going all the way back to R13SP2 (2004). Please note that you'll need to register on the site in order to access the archives.
Moreover, I hope now it integrates with Photoshop CS5 out of the box (If I got it right, the previous 64bit versions didn’t have 64bit compiler or something).
Well, As I wrote, I asked them about that.
They say you provide integrated Compiler in the 32bit version.
You don’t provide a 64 bit compiler in the 64bit version.
The integration requires compiler.
That’s why I wished you included it.
Yet, you didn’t.
A couple of caveats about using doc for previous releases:
* As Steve mentions, you need to log in to mathworks.com to peruse it
* Doc for releases before R2009b is frames-based; from R2009b onward, no HTML frames are used.
* HTML file names for MATLAB carry back to R2006b; prior to that release, a different set of file names were used.
So, http://www.mathworks.com/help/releases/R2006b/techdoc/learn_matlab/f2-8955.html will work, but http://www.mathworks.com/help/releases/R2006a/techdoc/learn_matlab/f2-8955.html does not work. You can get the R2006a doc by going to the MATLAB doc home page for the release, and clicking through
* Similarly, if you give a URL for a specific page in toolbox documentation, your mileage may vary. (They changed file names at various times.)

Could we have a look into 2010b documentation?
Any GPU acceleration :-)?
Improve Open GL performances?
Royi—R2010b was released on Friday and the documentation is available online.
How did I miss that…
Hope the Open GL performances have improved :-).
Moreover, I hope now it integrates with Photoshop CS5 out of the box (If I got it right, the previous 64bit versions didn’t have 64bit compiler or something).
Royi—Questions about Photoshop – MATLAB integration should be addressed to Adobe.
Very nice – I often use the links to the web documentation and it will be nice to be able to send version specific links.
Would be nice if the latest release was listed on the archive page as well in a http://www.mathworks.com/help/releases/R2010b/helpdesk.html type URL. As it is, it feels like perma links for everything but the most recent release.
Bob—That’s a great idea. If we did that I’d take advantage of it myself for doc links on this blog. I’ll pass the suggestion along.
Bob—I just discovered that this works already. You can take a link like http://www.mathworks.com/help/techdoc/learn_matlab/f2-8955.html and use it like this: http://www.mathworks.com/help/releases/R2010b/techdoc/learn_matlab/f2-8955.html.
