Steve on Image Processing with MATLAB

Image processing concepts, algorithms, and MATLAB

Image processing in Orlando next week (ICIP 2012)

I'm flying down to Orlando, FL on Saturday afternoon for the IEEE International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP 2012). I'll be doing two workshops there on Sunday and Monday of next week.

The first one is MATLAB Techniques for Image Processing. This will be on Sunday during the tutorial portion of the program. It's from 14:00 to 17:00. I hope that even experienced MATLAB users and image processing experts will pick up some useful tips in this session.

The second one is Take Control of Your Code: Software Development Tools and Techniques for Engineers and Scientists. This one is scheduled for Monday evening, 18:30 to 20:00. If you are not a professional software developer, but you have to write (and maintain) a lot of code to get your engineering job or research done, I hope to help you with some things I've learned over the years as a MathWorks software developer.

I believe that space is still available for both of these sessions. The Take Control of Your Code talk was filled earlier in the summer, but late last week it was moved to a larger room.

Spandan Tiwari, who wrote the circle-finding blog post earlier this month, is coming too. If you are going to ICIP, we'd love to talk with you. We'll be the ones in the MathWorks shirts.
