{"id":1641,"date":"2012-10-08T13:02:08","date_gmt":"2012-10-08T18:02:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.mathworks.com\/community\/?p=1641"},"modified":"2012-10-08T13:03:55","modified_gmt":"2012-10-08T18:03:55","slug":"whats-new-on-file-exchange","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.mathworks.com\/community\/2012\/10\/08\/whats-new-on-file-exchange\/","title":{"rendered":"What&#8217;s new on File Exchange"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As David Garrison explained in his earlier <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.mathworks.com\/loren\/2012\/10\/01\/the-matlab-r2012b-desktop-part-3-matlab-apps\/\">post<\/a>\u00a0on the Art of MATLAB blog, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mathworks.com\/discovery\/matlab-apps.html\">MATLAB Apps<\/a> are a great way to extend your MATLAB functionality. \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mathworks.com\/matlabcentral\/fileexchange\/\">File Exchange<\/a> now makes it easier to search and browse for MATLAB Apps created by the community.<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll see two new showcase areas on File Exchange, one for MATLAB Apps and another for MATLAB Examples:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mathworks.com\/matlabcentral\/fileexchange\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1643\" title=\"2. FX Screenshot\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.mathworks.com\/community\/files\/2.-FX-Screenshot.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"215\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Exploring <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mathworks.com\/products\/matlab\/ftapps.html\">Featured MATLAB Apps<\/a>, I was interested to try S B&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mathworks.com\/matlabcentral\/fileexchange\/8009-all-purpose-mortgage-calculator-including-mortgage-schedule\">All-purpose mortgage calculation<\/a>\u00a0tool. \u00a0Having myself once developed a mortgage analysis and underwriting tool for income-producing commercial real estate, S B&#8217;s MATLAB code seems to do a good job demonstrating the financial concepts as apply to the residential market.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mathworks.com\/products\/matlab\/ftapps.html\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1651\" title=\"Featured Apps\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.mathworks.com\/community\/files\/Featured-Apps.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"250\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nOnce you click &#8220;Apps&#8221; from File Exchange, you will be prompted with the Content Type &#8220;app&#8221; already filtered in your search box. \u00a0Browsing the Apps facet on File Exchange,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mathworks.com\/matlabcentral\/fileexchange\/index?term=type%3Aapp\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1663 aligncenter\" title=\"browsing\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.mathworks.com\/community\/files\/browsing-165x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"149\" height=\"270\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<table width=\"400\" border=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"padding-left: 0px; width: 90%;\">I discovered Ameya Deoras\u2019 App, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mathworks.com\/matlabcentral\/fileexchange\/37767-graphically-explore-the-black-scholes-merton-option-pricing-model\">Graphical tool for exploring the Black-Scholes-Merton Option Pricing Model<\/a>.
