The next contest starts at 16:00 UTC on Wednesday, October 31 and runs through 16:00 UTC November 7, 2012.<\/p>\n<p>MATLAB Contests are held semi-annually to inspire programmers to develop and share winning code. The challenge topic varies each season. It ranges in focus from gene sequencing to surveying planets.
