As we get closer to the <\/span>release of MATLAB R2024b<\/span><\/a> this Wednesday, many users inevitably ask \"What's the difference between the A and B releases of MATLAB?\". It's a <\/span>popular question on MATLAB Answers<\/span><\/a>, for example, where some user's beliefs are rather eye-raising! I've also had some 'interesting' comments raised in private conversations. Some people think that the 'a' releases are more stable while others believe that the 'a' release introduce new features that are then finished in the 'b' releases. There's even a story where a major user of MATLAB said that they only deploy 'a' releases in their organization because 'a' is clearly a better grade than 'b'.<\/span><\/div>
