I have reinvented this wheel several times in the past and then lost it because of my incredible organizational skills&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>As a side note, one of the surest ways to get to be Pick Of The Week is to have a file that I need on a Wednesday when I am looking around the File Exchange for something I need for my own work.  I figured there had to be a way to rotate the xtick label, and there was <a title=\"https:\/\/www.mathworks.com\/matlabcentral\/fileexchange\/loadFile.do?objectId=8722&amp;objectType=file (link no longer works)\">right here<\/a>.  It looks like Scott snagged this file as his first Pick Of The Week long ago.  (Wow, has it been almost two years of this blog already?)
