I find this simple little function oddly compelling. Pass it a matrix, and it returns a similarly sized matrix that ranks the input's values from lowest to highest.\r\n<br><br>\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.mathworks.com\/pick\/files\/ranker_example.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"300\" height=\"158\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-15847\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.mathworks.com\/pick\/files\/ranker_example-300x158.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a>\r\n<br><br>\r\nBe advised that this example comes with some limitations. It doesn't fully support:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Matrices of 3 or more dimensions<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Imaginary numbers<\/li>\r\n \t<li>3 or more tie values<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nBut for the most common use case, double precision values in a 1 or 2D array, it works great.
