I was looking for some way to visualize the globe in MATLAB. Of course, I looked to the File Exchange to see what we could do.  Our very own Rob Comer here at the MathWorks had added <a title=\"https:\/\/www.mathworks.com\/matlabcentral\/fileexchange\/loadFile.do?objectId=2611&#038;objectType=file (link no longer works)\">this code<\/a> for visualizing our planet.  Not only does this look at some great data, but it shows data from the HDF family.
