Data Analysis: Check. Search Google: Check. Write Reports: Check. Now I can add one more item to my list, keeping up with my stocks. Thanks to Brian Kiernan&#8217;s clever <a title=\"https:\/\/www.mathworks.com\/matlabcentral\/fileexchange\/loadFile.do?objectId=5784&amp;objectType=file (link no longer works)\">Real-Time Stock Viewer<\/a> I can now have a stock ticker running from within MATLAB all day long. It uses a live feed to Yahoo (it works with Bloomberg, too) to get real-time data on a single stock at a time. If only it could tell me when to sell my losers &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>This is a nice example of using MATLAB&#8217;s timer object (introduced in R13, I believe) to run a process continually without blocking MATLAB.<\/p>\n<p>Note: This submission requires the Datafeed Toolbox to get live stock quotes.
