I am going to break from that rule, because in face-to-face interaction I recommend this file to more customers than any other and think it needs to used more often.\n\nWhy use a style guide?\n\nThere are lots of somewhat arbitrary choices we make when coding: Should the variable be named numCatagories, or cat_num?  How far should I indent?  What should I name this function?
