{"id":4313,"date":"2014-12-08T12:40:47","date_gmt":"2014-12-08T17:40:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.mathworks.com\/seth\/?p=4313"},"modified":"2014-12-08T12:40:47","modified_gmt":"2014-12-08T17:40:47","slug":"quickly-insert-a-complementary-block","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.mathworks.com\/simulink\/2014\/12\/08\/quickly-insert-a-complementary-block\/","title":{"rendered":"Quickly Insert a Complementary Block"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today I want to share a quick trick to speed up your workflow in R2014b.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Complementary Blocks<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>In Simulink, there are a few blocks that always come in pairs, for example <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mathworks.com\/help\/simulink\/slref\/goto.html\">Goto<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mathworks.com\/help\/simulink\/slref\/from.html\">From<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mathworks.com\/help\/simulink\/slref\/datastorewrite.html\">Data Store Write<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mathworks.com\/help\/simulink\/slref\/datastoreread.html\">Data Store Read<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>In R2014b, if you have one of these blocks, you can simply hover the mouse on top of the block, and a light blue indicator will appear.
