I <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.mathworks.com\/steve\/?p=19\">had commented<\/a> that \"meshgrid is kind of hard to describe in words.\"\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>\r\nWell, maybe I was being a bit lazy there, as well as unfair to our writers! Here's what the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mathworks.com\/help\/matlab\/ref\/meshgrid.html\">meshgrid documentation<\/a> says:\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<blockquote> <tt>[X,Y] = meshgrid(x,y)<\/tt>  transforms the domain specified by vectors <tt>x<\/tt> and <tt>y<\/tt> into arrays <tt>X<\/tt> and <tt>Y<\/tt>, which can be used to evaluate functions of two variables and three-dimensional mesh\/surface plots. The rows of the output array <tt>X<\/tt> are copies of the vector <tt>x<\/tt>; columns of the output array <tt>Y<\/tt> are copies of the vector <tt>y<\/tt>.<\/blockquote>\r\n\r\n<p>\r\nThat works!\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>\r\nThanks, Philip.
