\r\nLast week Oliver asked<\/a> for the release in which CMYK TIFF support was added to imwrite<\/tt><\/a>. Oliver then followed up<\/a> asking for MathWorks to make release notes available for old versions.\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\nIn case anyone else is interested, here's one way to navigate to release notes for older versions of MATLAB.\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

  1. Start at The MathWorks home page<\/a>.<\/li>\r\n
  2. Click on Support<\/a>.\r\n
  3. Click on Product Documentation<\/a>.<\/li>\r\n
  4. Click on MATLAB<\/a>.<\/li>\r\n
  5. Click on MATLAB Release Notes<\/a>.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n

    \r\nNote that release notes are available there for releases back to R14 in 2004. The release notes summarize new features, compatibility considerations, and fixed and known bugs.\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

    \r\nSimilarly, you can find release notes for the Image Processing Toolbox<\/a> going back to version 2.2.2 in 2000.\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

    \r\nWe aren't always perfect about remembering to include everything in the release notes, but this is something we're trying to get better at.\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

    \r\nTo answer Oliver's original question: Since MATLAB 6.5.1 (R13 SP1 in 2003), imwrite<\/tt> has written a CMYK TIFF when passed an M-by-N-by-4 input array.\r\n<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
