Just <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mathworks.com\/products\/matlab\/student.html\"><span class=\"_richTextNode\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">check your eligibility<\/span><\/a><span class=\"_richTextNode\"> and sign up with your university email address. You can always adjust or <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mathworks.com\/help\/matlab\/matlab_env\/change-the-desktop-layout.html\"><span class=\"_richTextNode\">configure the Desktop<\/span><\/a><span class=\"_richTextNode\"> to change what you see using the Home Tab &gt; Environment section &gt; Layout. You can also adjust your code output using the <\/span><span class=\"_richTextNode\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">View<\/span><span class=\"_richTextNode\"> tab in the MATLAB toolstrip (my output is set to be on the right below).<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 2px 10px 9px 4px; padding: 0px; line-height: 21px; min-height: 0px; white-space: pre; color: #212121; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-style: normal; font-size: 14px; font-weight: 400; text-align: left;\"><span class=\"_richTextNode\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Command Window (1):<\/span><span class=\"_richTextNode\"> the panel at the bottom where you type and run commands directly. A good place to test things out quickly. Regular scripts (.m files) are plain code, while Live Scripts (.mlx) let you combine code, results, and formatted text in one document, which is handy for assignments and lab reports.
