You can check there for daily MATLAB tips in 140 characters or less, blog post announcements and other things that I find interesting.  \r\n<p><p>\r\n\r\nWhile reading the stream of <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/#search?q=%23matlab\">Tweets about MATLAB<\/a> I found this <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/goocy\/statuses\/2765408802\">little gem<\/a> of a tweet: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.instructables.com\/id\/3-D-Laser-Scanner\/\">How to convert your Mom&#8217;s head into a 3-d model<\/a> on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.instructables.com\">Instructables<\/a>.  \r\n<p><p>\r\nThis video on Instructables.com is good at showing the setup for the experiment, but does not show much about how the processing was done.  They do make the MATLAB script available if you want to do this yourself.
