Today’s post will introduce some of our newer members on the MathWorks Student Programs team. Our team has continued to grow in the past year, and we now have 3 new members located in Boston (US) and Bangalore (India).
Our team helps equip students around the globe with software, training, and mentoring to tackle the same technical issues as professional engineers. Check out the competitions we currently support
here.

Competitions are a great way to apply what you know to a real-world challenge, and you are almost guaranteed to learn something new along the way! They provide great experiences and interesting projects that allow you to grow in a way that most classrooms can’t provide. Even if it’s not your exact area of expertise, competitions can be a really enriching experience and can help you discover something you love. I recommend them for everyone, no matter where you are at in your education!
Why do you like working in education and collaborating with student teams?
I’ve worked with students a lot over the past few years as a Teaching Assistant in various capacities, and it is so rewarding to get to help people find their place in the world. Students are constantly asking questions and driving innovation because of their ability to see things in a new light, and I appreciate the opportunity to give them some of the tools to do that. By supporting current students, I feel like I am helping create a brighter future for us all.
