A little deadline pressure
In a recent comment, blog reader Ramiro asks where I've been for the last couple of weeks. Well, I've been right here at my desk, working hard in advance of critical R2006b development deadlines. As I've mentioned before, The MathWorks has been on a twice-yearly general release schedule for the last couple of years. In order to make our target March and September release dates, the development deadlines are pretty inflexible. If you miss a deadline, your software change just doesn't make it into the release!
Overall, I intend to keep to a pattern of posting twice a week. But occasionally I'll get buried with my "real job." In general, I can't promise a quick response to all comments I receive on the blog or by e-mail. If you need timely product support, then please check out the numerous product support options on our web site.
Fortunately, I think I'll be catching up on comments and posting some new material later this week. In the meantime, thanks for your patience.
