UNPLOT
I just became a huge fan of Tobin Driscoll, for his submission of UNPLOT to MATLAB Central. And I swear it has nothing to do with the fact that he goes to the University of Delaware, where I did my Ph.D. (go Blue Hens!)
Like most MATLAB users, I spend a lot of time plotting from the command line (even with the great new plot tools in R14). Inevitably, I put something on my plot that I don't want to see anymore. It's easy enough to graphically remove unwanted items, but that breaks my flow by requiring me to switch to my mouse. UNPLOT does just what its name says - it unplots the last item you added to your plot. It also has a restore feature - you can lock down the current state of a plot, and return to it at any later point.
Very simple and very clever. Thanks, Tobin!
